Alone. To feel like you're living in solitude.
Loneliness without reason.
No clues as to why.
The hardest part isn't ignoring the voices.
It's unplugging the machine, watching the gears sputter to a halt.
The power of our towers short circuiting, sparks emitting rapidly like my thoughts.
And they just won't terminate.
Motherboard cries tears of cryptic code overloading the system, overheating the hard drive.
All commands set to power down, to destroy all programs,
to sweep up the encrypted files and expose them to the endless stream of information caught in the web of copy, paste,
Control. Alt. Delete.
The hums and pings of life fade out, keystrokes ceasing until the remaining sign of life,
the glow of the home screen flashing a help window begs:
"What can I help you with?"
Command: windows/ + R, (CMD) enter/ :shutdown -s/ enter.
"Are you sure you want to shut down?"
Command: shutdown -s/ enter.
System failure.
Cannot reboot.
"You are now being logged off."
Each window closes, the unit no longer buzzing with activity.Blank. Devoid. Off.
Pulsating movement streaming no more.
Only faulty hardware beyond repair sitting on a shelf
collecting dusk and growing out-dated by it's superiors born with sophistication and ingenuity
over basic hacks and scattered designs.
Silicon parts waiting for a wizard to recover everything
who will never come.
