Thunderbirds

Fracturing the sky,
these thunderbirds
vicious beaks and
snagging talons
they rip the undercarriage of blue open
and the entrails of heaven fall
among mortals
I have witnessed this
myself, slaughter of the celestial sphere
we all drink the wounds of God.
