Ode to the Windy City
The sights, sounds, and smells of one magnificent city I can’t seem to forget. Groups of massive skyscrapers while on their own an excrescence, come together to form a view unlike any other. A phenomenal miscellany of heights, widths and designs. A fetor distinct to no other locale, that would wreak in any other setting, tends to please my senses. Prominent noises of car horns, subway trains and sirens, normally indicative of chaos, fills the ears like the hymn of a lyre. The senses experienced in this wonderful place culminates into a feeling surpassing contentment.
To walk the streets of Chicago is never a dull adventure. The mayhem of Michigan avenue shopping centers buzz about, while the serene view of sailboats from a Lake Michigan beach brings about peace in just about any soul. A place of enriching culture and miraculous sensory stimulants is impossible to deny. To visit the Windy City is to fall in love like you never have. To visit the Windy City is to understand greatness.

Chicago is one of my favorite places in the world, which inspired me to write this piece.
