what people fear is the most is the unknown. How it will hurt, what kind of mistakes will it cause? but in reality, we all learn from our mistakes its how we grow, without guns being used to kill, we would have never known the power it had.

If I had a daughter I think I'd name her Resilient,
because when the world tears her down below the levels of the grown,
with a strong glass of disappointment and defeat
when she no longer feels she is capable to stand on her own two balanced feet.

I want her to know that her captivating resilience
will always allow her to get up once again and grasp a rigid handle on to life

As a mother I will need to know in my heart that I have taught her
to see the majestic qualities in all black evil without forgetting to show her the  hypnotizing tranquillity of life

I need to know that my daughter will understand how to fix her broken cracks
not just with a green turquoise bandage but with the lustrous white of silver shining surgical tools as well

Before my daughter is seven years old
I will have taught her that there is beauty in all,
its not just the brightly colored yellows, whites, and pinks.
but also the blacks, browns, and Burgundys.

But just incase her other mother is not ok with that name
We will name her
Stella Lynn DeGroot
and she will learn that
the sun is a privilege not a right
the rain is there to wash away all her anger and her might
and the snow was made so she could understand what cold and alone really feels like

I will teach her that there will always be a endless supply of love from her mother and I and that we will not only indulge her soul, but charm the elusive, stubborn, parts of her. heart

I will want my Stella Lynn to understand
that superheroes don’t exist,
Especially superheros that can save everybody
sometimes the people you want to save are the same people standing in your way,
but it will be ok , Ill tell her.
because I will help hold the weight off of her the small fragile shoulders

I'll be her bolder willing to crush anyone who tries to hurt her.

I will gently whisper in her ear “Baby,  you can be whatever it is that your heart desires
ignore all those manipulating liars saying you can't just focus on being the inspiration to create magnificent transformation of the world”

I know my baby girl will change the  universe.

when people ask her how she did it,
she will shine that marvelous smile at her mom and me and say “ because i had moms that taught me how”
