"Love"
There was a girl. She was an open book
Careless with her heart on her sleeve
She met a boy who came into her life
With a promise he would never leave
He told her he loved her and meant it
Showed her how to love herself
But then her took her heart and bent it
Putting away her love on a shelf
He shattered her world, broke it in two
She could feel herself falling apart
With a bottle filled with hopeless dreams
And a broken beyond repair heart
She pleaded and prayed that the boy would return
And bring with him the love that she lost
But she knew that the boy would never come back
Because love always has a cost
