I miss your leisurely voice escaping
between the crack of your lips
fluttering into my ear like a monarch butterfly.
and
I miss the way your hands gripped the back of my head
fingertips digging through my pile of hair
reaching my scalp.
and
I miss when we leaned into kiss
we would both smile,
I could practically taste the coffee you drank
earlier that morning that was still lingering on your breath.
and
I miss how our eyes would catch
like the break of a beautiful thunderstorm.
To me you were born to be a rainstorm; washing away
my dirt.
