Dyslexia
First day of School so excited
I can't wait to meet my teacher.
I am finally a big girl like my sister.
As I walk in it looks like a huge building of old painted white bricks and a screeching door
In my eyes school was a marvelous place with shining white marble.
My classmates looked as if they know everything and everyone ,
I didn't know anyone, so
I went to the seat with my name.
I was ready to use the alphabet letters I learned in preschool.
I sat down looked at my desk it was a wonderful blue but I had wished it was pink at the time.
The first thing my teacher said was to write our name,
I didn't know how and I raised my hand and asked the teacher and then everyone started laughing at me.
I never asked another question that year.
That was a begging an end with in a few seconds.
I tried to copy the name tag, it was a struggle, but my life depended on it.
It was backwards the way I wrote it, but to me it was right.
I was so proud!
That year as I started to learn to read all the letters started to get mixed up in my head.
Then one day when my mom picked me up I wanted to read street signs,
but when I knew the right way in my head but it came out backwards.
My mom started to say if you keep doing that let me know.
I didn't know why and she wouldn't tell me.
Then a couple days after that she brought be to this doctor's office
and did a bunch of tests.
finally they told me
I had
D Y S L E X I A.
after that this was the first word that I learned how say properly and write.
DYSLEXIA.
