Crumbling

He crumbles like a wall,
made of ancient bricks,
his sanity reduced to dust,
the solid stone full of nicks
as he is caught in his fray,
and his tears of scarlet slowly erode the wall away,
the demons are just beyond his wall,
sitting patiently for his long fall,
and they know,
that not much longer,
until it does show,
that they are stronger,
than him
and now he knows,
that his future is grim,
as his safe wall crumbles away
