What if you could see what I see.
I see her and her smile fades and she doesn’t smile anymore.
You see her and you see the girl with the clothes and the hair and the everything.
but I know that behind every happy person is something truly sad.
Behind every grin and laugh and joke there is pain.
Because it is normal.
It is normal that she isn’t happy.
You see her and you want to be her.
You want to be the girl with the clothes and the hair and the everything because you think that she is perfect.
But she isn’t just perfect.
She can’t just be perfect.
Because she is sad.
And she is sad because she wants to be you because you are alone and when you smile you don’t take it back.
Because it is real.
All you have is real for you.
But for her.
It is expectations.
It is needing to fit in and needing to be the girl everybody wants to be.
It is being perfect.
