You hide yourself in pages,
Almost impossible to find.
I, unsuspecting,
Am found in them as well,
But you will never tell.

You hide yourself in pages,
Maps around your jumbled skull.
I, unquestioning,
See the scattered pens and papers in a drawer,
But do not reach for their secrets.

You hide yourself in pages,
Trying to grasp at a harsh reality.
I, unknowing,
Leave you to your thoughts
As they drift to me like a virus in the air.

You hide yourself in pages,
While you fade from your right mind.
I, unaware,
Cure you of your loneliness,
Causing your maps to change direction.
Instead of heading towards the edge of the Earth,
You’re sailing for paradise.
