Friendship
  Friendship is a funny thing,
It comes and goes in places
  Where no one would suspect
And just when you think you have it grasped,
  It slips away to hide
It comes at high a price
  Yet is given away freely
  You keep it close
  But give it up
  Every day,
  Every hour,
  Every second
  Friendship has rips,
  Friendship has holes,
  But friendship mends,
  And friendship repairs
  And nothing can separate
  True friendship

I wanted to point out the irony of friendship--how in order to gain it you have to give it. It is an amazing thing--it can stretch, it can shrink, but it doesn't break. Yes it can, but it also can withhold a lot of suffering before it does
