It was a prized privilege to be owned by the first woman on Earth.
A newlywed gift that if lifted may come the unexpected.
Given from Zeus I had the power of a storm contained inside me.
My owner Pandora had the beauty like a goddess, glowing.
Her curiosity grew as each day passed for what was hidden within me.
Using a key to open me Pandora ignored her fear and,
Unleashed the items that I had held tightly for so long
Boom! The evils of the world had emerged with no hesitation for I had no control
Pandora herself had no control for she wept in horror
While I did contain hate, disease, and other evils now present in the world
Still inside me was a feeling that it all can be fixed and,
That despite the circumstances I did not ruin the world completely,
For even on the darkest of days Hope can exist.
