Crinkle, crinkle, crunch
The leaves under my feet
Frigid mornings, warm afternoons
The changing mood of nature.
Why do the leaves fall?
Late sunrise, early sunset
Corn mazes and pumpkin carving
Summer more and more a distant memory
Heat drifts away, cold takes over
No more shorts, no more sandals.
To sweats and sleeves we go
Farewell warm weather, see you soon.
