Society
Darling
Society has tried to tame your tigers roar
Into a kittens mewl
Your sharp claws into soft paws
They have tried to make you a star
Stars are beautiful
Vibrant,
But you are as the cosmos
Dark and deep
Beautiful to everyone
But
Only truly beautiful to those who take the time
And effort
To pick apart your soul
Those who take the time to learn about
Not your friday sunsets
Or your lazy Sunday mornings
But of your Tuesday 3ams
Your thunderstorms
And your eyes as you read
The way how freckles dot your face like constellations
And how your face is one of reckless
Abandon when you truly laugh
My Darling,
You are more beautiful and powerful
Than the best of us.
