If an Angel Lies with Demons
Temptation led him there
A want he could not have
A lust to break from what he was
And it caused his

White feathers turned black
As he tore them from his back
He didn’t want them like he had before
They told him it would help
But all it did was hurt
He followed and he fell
They took away his halo
Played with it as he watched
It was returned bent and broken
No more of its shine or show
They stripped away his robes
Left him lying bare
Hopeless, faithless, broken
Life lied to him with ornate promises
He lost who he once was
He followed and he fell
