Strands of dark brown curls fell to the ground in a heap
Figuring out immediately
That soon there would be none left to fall to the floor
The desert tortoise in the same confined space
As it always has been
Life carrying on
As it usually did
Things happening normally
As they usually did
The hair began to get thinner
Until hats had to cover the naked parts
The Yamaha piano sitting still and untouched in the living room
As it usually did
The white daisies began to grow
