My Home
Home
California
This was my home My first home
Where I was brought when I was born
Where my brother was brought when he was born
Where I slept at night, and where my mom slept as a child
Where my grandparents and family visited
Where all my birthdays were
Where I learned to write, ride a bike, had my first hair cut.
Where I got all of my bumps, bruises, and scars,
Where I went to school for the first 11 years of my life
Where I had the passion to play soccer
There is so much more that my house taught me that I did there,
Where I heard that family died and that family was born
And all the family that visited from across the country
Where I got the courage to ride my first roller coaster
That was my house that was my home
California was my home and my family.

I just thought I'd share what this like moving away from your family and moving across the country to a new place where you've never been before.
