The Things You'll Miss When You're Dead
Little moments,
Millions of emotions,
Relief washes over you,
Like a warm bucket of water being dumped on you.
New beginnings,
A fresh start
Hours of adventure, the feeling of being
Invincible.
Waking up every morning to the sweet melody of birds,
The light shining through dusty blinds,
Spilling all over the floor.
Warm, blissful sun
Kissing your face.
Breathing in the thick scent of pine.
Night slowly creeps in,
All you can hear is the sound of laughter with your beloved friends,
The crackling fire,
If you listen carefully,
You hear the crickets singing their monotone tune and frogs chirping,
The still, calm silence.
Fire flies twinkle like they’re putting on a show for us.
Sweet serenity,
Relaxation,
Within the blink of an eye,
It’s gone.
All we have are these little moments.
