Sunset
At sunset,
I look into the sky
and I see swirls of light-
colors mixed and blended
almost as if a giant hand
reached into the sky
and painted pinks, reds, and oranges,
but suddenly dissatisfied,
the hand covered the sky in black,
only letting small dots of light,
proof of what used to be,
shine down on us.
