Eardrums blown
by the cheering of teams.
Noses filled
with the scent of chlorine.
The sight
of crying teens excited for getting first place.
Every swimmer dripping
wet hiding the sweat that has
previously beaded upon their foreheads.
The competitiveness
radiating from every athlete.
The buzzer goes off
six swimmers dive in like a dolphin at once.
A speeding bullet
racing against the wind.
