The Question
“When is he coming home he left me when I was only six.”
“I haven’t seen him in four years.”
He ran up to his mother to wipe her tears from her cheeks
“Please don’t cry Mamma. It breaks my heart, but I need an answer”
His mother’s face became whiter
The walls seemed to collide one into another
He himself began to cry, “It’s just a simple question”
Patiently he waited for an answer
He did not know what to think anymore
All kinds of ideas shot through his mind
At last he heard his mother say something very quietly
She spoke between her teeth
In a whisper he heard her say,”your father died”
