One Thousand
1000
One cloudy day
The sky looks sad
As I hope it will rain
I take one last look in the mirror,
and realize this is only a dream.
School is a stressful surreal blur
I took each test today and repeated,
"I hope I passed."
I dash to lunch period expecting to see him
My face dwells into sadness when I don't.
As I wonder where he could be
The thought suddenly hit me
"He's never going to see me
the way I see him."
I am like a daisy in a field of roses.
I whisper the lyrics
to my favorite song.
I can't seem to concentrate
on the reality of my life.
I walk home slowly
I think of him.
I look at the baby blue sky;
hoping this day that feels like
a thousand hours..
comes to an end.
