Sapphire tears gather and
run like a river downstream
Silently making a canyon
In my skincare products

The charcoal paint flows
And leaves the it’s dust behind
I wipe it off with water
and make up remover

I stare into the glass and
Want to wipe the reflection
with my cloth dipped in
hydrogen peroxide

I want to clean it
I want to splash it with water
Where will the river run?

Coals sit in the corner
long forgotten in the fireplace
That has been cold for years
Thanks to the snow

The river is frozen in the mirror
I want summer to come
