This Girl
There is a girl who is feeling shy.
Not a day goes by
where her sky isn't gray.
She sits and cries waiting for a sign
that someone might stop
and take the time
to be there for this girl,
who is too shy to speak her mind.
There is a girl alone and frail
who doesn't want to be the one to wail.
She'd rather sit and not say a word
than tell her long lost tale.
Broken and confused,
the way she hurts have peole amused.
A victim.
A victim.
There is a girl who walks the halls
with only her books and pens.
She looks pathetic and she knows it too.
But there is nothing she can do.
With noone to talk to
she walks alone,
a stray dog looking for a bone.
There is a girl who lost some "friends",
due to a silly fault.
Who is to blame?
It's hard to tell,
but friendship was taken assault.
Lack of trust, lack of love,
people always want to be above.
There is a girl who is trying so hard
to fill the empty hole that people left so abruptly.
Her mind scattered in a million directions.
Her heart torn apart.
But this girl sits there quietly.
This girl is me.
