Do they remember what it's like to be "figuring yourself out,"
To constantly decode who you are and what your purpose is?
It seems like they forget, they do forget.
They forget about how stressful it is to be living in a un-lucid body
where everything seems out of place.
Do you know yourself?
We may seem youthful, and pure from the outside,
but if they looked a little deeper, and listened a little harder,
They may discover that, not all of us are as as perfect as they want us to be.

We are scared, confused, and stressed.
They may say, “Stressed about what you’re just a kid,”
that’s where we feel that they might have forgotten.
Do they remember what its like, to not know who you are?
Not knowing what you need, or where you want to go?
To just not know anything.
We feel like helpless lambs in a field of tigers,
waiting to be pounced on because of our mistakes.
I'll probably never know the amount of mistakes my parents made.

But we need them.
Without them, we are bland, plain, and soulless.
We are their Magnum Opus, or their life's work.
They would move mountains and take bullets for us, we forget that too.
We forget about the love and the pride they take in calling us their children.
We sometimes make the mistake of just complaining,
instead of just appreciating.
So thank you Mom, and thank you Dad because without you,
I would be nothing.
