A Kiss to The Skies
I put flowers on his
grave in June, and
a decorative card
I made
for Father's
Day in elementary school.
All the kids got to
witness a dad's smile,
and I can't remeber what
his smile is like.
I imagine it's wide.
I imagine it's warm.
I imagine it's contagious.
I imagine it being inviting,
comforting like a hug.
Like a hug from him.
I wish I could get
one last
hug from him.
for now I'll send a
kiss to the skies.
And my tears to
my pillow.
