Brothers by Choice
My brothers are my backbone
Holding me up when I don’t want to stand
They’re my eyes
Allowing me to see who to trust
And who to ignore
My brother’s are family
Not all by blood
But by choice
They give me a smile
When all I can do is frown
My brother’s are my closest friends
My backbone
My eyes
And my smile
There for me whenever
A readied shoulder to throw the punch
Or hold the tears
I love these guys
More than life
I’d take a shot for them
My brothers by choice

I wrote this poem because I have a lot of really close guy friends. I wanted people to think when reading this about how appreciative they should be if they have close friends like these guys. These guys have taught me a lot, and even if we fight, they're still there to pick me up when I'm upset.
