Do you hear

The wayward lost

The cries of fear

And the deathly cost?

Do you see 

The wicked sin

The righteous bravery 

And the beating hearts within?

Do you smell

The redeeming red

The rotting deeds no one can tell

And the abundant yeast rising in the bread?

Do you taste 

The salty tears

The dark shadows of haste

And the sour killers' leers?

Do you feel

The oppression bearing down

The twisted lies we struggle to heal 

And the One who bears the eternal Crown?

Would I pass the test 

And sacrifice my life at its best? 

I'd have to admit

I wonder just what I'd do
