“When it's over, I want to say: all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

When it is over, I don't want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don't want to find myself sighing and frightened,
or full of argument.

I don't want to end up simply having visited this world.”

I listened to the rain,

---Those chattering sounds they make when they are pellets

of shattered skies hitting hard against my windowsills,

When the skies cried,

?

And the winds - they swept away the tears,

Hoping to erase them from our sight,

But i am not blinded ,

By the tangible views of the blazing stars,

-Jewels on the sky's tiara,

I called them,

And by the moment idle desire crept into my empty soul,

I was taken into a surreal world i never knew existed,

That was lucid and tangible,

Even in my dreams,

And they were,

Raised in the dark skies,

That stretch across the pink horizon,

Everything seems to looked so small here,

Even for the larks that flew across,

And there were more jewels of precious stones from the sky's tiara,

Aww! Thanks A lot! I do really really really appreciate it! :D And though I hope I would get published someday, I don't think they will put this in the magazine, there are still loads of potential piece sent by other teens, you included!

"Arose by any other name is still the past tense of arise." Steve Patterson on CBC's The Debators "The devil's greatest trick was chopping the water into separate bathtubs. Then attaching claws to those bathtubs." Bob Schofield's The Inevitable June

Such a unique outlook and so beautifully written. As you describe, this poem in itself is surreal and like being in a lucid dream. I could really lose myself in this work, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Well done. And may I say... Masterful.
