The way the world impacts me
October 16, 2014
That familiar feeling in my chest
the collapsing of my breaths
and the pounding in my head
nunb fingertips tied to cinderblocks
that feeling of lungs filled with water
and air with no oxygen
restless sleep
lost in a pitch black so deep
stuck in a cycle condemned to repeat
wounds that refuse to heal
the things I feel I try hard to conceal
they're so surreal I won't reveal
