I look around me
All that I see is
The world
Broken
The people are broken
People unable to truly give their heart away
For they lost it long ago
Like the innocence of a child
The government is broken
Politicians who would rather lie
Than provide a true solution
And act like real role models
The food is broken
Food that sustains everything
That may not be real enough to recognize
To the people who walked the earth before
The sky is broken
The sky so blue and happy
Becomes black and brown
like old blood and death
the world is broken
like you and me
unable to give what we ask
because the world is broken.
