God's Great Orchestra
  Rain pours down
  On the roof tonight
  Not a sound
But that of the bullets in flight
Each one a resounding bell
Beating out a steady melody
  That none can tell
  But those who truly believe

   Lightning flashes
   Quick as a blink
   Their echoing crashes
Streaking midnight blue with white ink
  Thunder rumbles
Deep bass drum of the wind
  Each bell stumbles
  In the strength from within

   They find their paths
   And continue falling
   Faster now, back to back
   They hear the wind calling
The bells of rain pick up speed
Each breath of wind weaves in
Rising and falling like the sea
Every note piercing like a pin

   Lighting crashes
   Burning, blazing through the air
   Thunder dashes
   Out from its hidden lair
  Most ponder what this was
But not us, you and me
No, we know it’s God’s Great Orchestra,
  A beautiful symphony

I wrote this poem one night because there was a huge thunderstorm and I kept thinking of lines to describe the storm, so here it is!
