The Generation of Ignorance
This generation knows no end
It is now and not back then,
We put our screens in our faces
Oh how we are big disgraces!
This generation is one of of a kind
Filled with the diversity of our minds,
People used to be resourceful and smart
But technology took us over from the start.
There used to be this thing called love
Represented by notes, flowers, and doves
Girls get treated with respect
But what would happen if you never met?
If your face is in a screen
You have missed where she would have been
You missed all her laughter and good time
All because you were watching a vine
You missed out on a beautiful experience
All because you are too delirious
It’s not your fault nor is it mine
that our technology is “one of a kind”
We are too busy listening to the words on screens
Instead of the words around where we’ve been
Technology is ripping this generation apart
Because we cannot listen to the words from our hearts.
