I'm Here.
As I enter the
Crowded, busy
Parking lot I feel
A bomb of excitement.
I take a long
Deep breathe
In. I still can’t
Believe my eyes,
I feel like its been
A million years. I’ve
Been waiting for way
Too long.
And now all my
Patient gave off.
I drag all
My heavy bags
To the trailer.
We race to the
Check in line.
Everything looks
The same, the grass, the trees,
And even the rocks.
I look around and
Say to myself,
“I’m gonna be here for 2 weeks weeks.
I’m at Black River Farm & Ranch.”
We race to
carson city.
We look outside
And it looks the same.
The horses are in the
West like they always are
on arrival day.
Horses are coming
Up to the fence for
Attention. As I get
Closer I can hear
The grass
Pop out of the
ground as the
Horses pull it out to eat.
We felt his smooth,
soft, shiny red fur.
His nose
Was as
Soft as
Possible.
My fingers run
Through his long,
Red mane
As I take in the
Perfect
Scene.
