Innocence
As she walks in
she sees the broken chandelier.
Destined upon her path
the temptation is strong.
Should she keep her way
or leave it for it is dangerous.
Her feet now covered in blood,
but she doesn't care
for she is blind.
People tell her not to
go in further, but
confident she goes to reach the other side.
Too far in, too deep to get out;
her feet are numb and she
cannot feel the stinging of the glass anymore
Lost in the feeling
of madness and pain
she struggles to be the girl from the past.

This piece isn't actully about a girl who is walking through a room with broken glass all over the floor. The true meaning behind it is about this girl who is sort of going through a rebellious phase and she decides she doesn't want to listen to her parents or friends anymore. So, she decides that she wants to "grow up" and lose her virgnity; and as a result she ends up being pregnant because of her mistake which afterwards she realizes.
The title is Innocence because of her loss of innocence; the broken chandelier represents the girl giving up everything and when she's walking in, "too far in too deep to get out;", thats the moment when she is losing her virginity. The last stanza, "lost in the feeling of madness and pain,", is when she's finally realizing her mistake because she's feeling all the side-effects of being pregnant, so she's angry at herself and in pain from the pregnancy.
