I Come From
I come from a dysfunctional mother,
And a in denial father
I come from a place where I’ve watched,
my friends and loved one get their life taken away right in front of me
I come from a hood so hard,
You would know where I came from
I come from backgrounds of doctors and lawyers
I come from a place what I call,
Is a pain, abuse, sorrows, and lies
I come from Brat dolls, sandals, ponytails, and dresses
I come from tears and happiness,
Secrets I can’t tell
I come from the Brightmoor community
The heart of Detroit
I come from a long bloodline
Generation to generation
I come from a highly educated family,
That expects me to live their dream
I come from a million emotions, territorial relatives
I come from the end of the 90’s
Born and raised..!!
