Walk Away From Your Phone
A generation of idiots
Thinking smartphones are brilliant
Spending hours with friends
Friendships that might as well be pretend.
Opening up our laptops
And going on them nonstop
For relying on our smartphones
We’re all just about alone.
We’re throwing away our lives
While looking at a bright display
We should go for a drive
Or find a sport to play.
Go out into our neighbourhoods
And leave all distractions behind
Things we never understood
Would then become alive.
We might avoid a fatal accident
Or learn life lessons
When putting away distractions
We’re committing an act of perfection.
Walk away from your phone,
Make the most of today.
Give life consideration.
When putting away that display.
