Allies
Drinking to feel the numbness it brings,
drink enough so you wont feel a thing,
because right now there is no need to feel,
disguise the wounds that refuse to heal.
Drink to paralyze your body from head to toe,
pull you under the surface down below,
now hush, lie down and stay still,
fall in the hands of drink as you will.
Don’t bother with what you can’t find,
to take you away from your mind,
don’t see the truth and live in the lies,
drink enough, addictions are your allies.
Fighting doesn’t matter if you can’t win,
there is no reward from where you’ve been,
don’t just have one drink, drink a few,
drink until you experience something new.
