Beauty
They say my eyes are like the ocean,
Deep blue and clear.
They say my hair is like the sun,
Blazing gold throughout the year.
They say my personality is a flower,
Blooming and always bright.
They say my dimples are a gift,
Filling anyone with delight.
They say my smile is like a hug,
Filling others with happiness.
They say my brain is brilliant,
My future filled with success.
They say my voice is angelic,
As pure as one could be.
They say my heart is beautiful,
More than what anyone can see.
Beauty is not skin,
Not eyes, nor a voice.
Beauty is a genuine heart,
Beauty is a choice.

I wrote this piece to let people know that beauty is a choice. Everyone tells me these things about me, and how beautiful I am. Don't get me wrong, I'm flattered, but they don't see beauty for what it really is.
