"When you're at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on." -Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I have witnessed too many wolves domesticated
Too many howls hushed
Because the world isn’t ready for
A bark bigger than their own.
But
I will not roll over
I will not be held down
Tied to the bed post covered in notches for every time I was told to learn my place.
I am werewolf
Tearing through chains
To get the opportunity to
Tear every sexist stereotype
Out of your throats
Men would throw fists instead of getting the word
‘Woman’
Thrown at them.
Woman is weak.
Woman can be silenced
Controlled and put down
But I will not wear a muzzle
I will howl when the moon rises
And howl when it sets
I do know my place
But
It is not determined by you.

Even though it's 2014, sexism is a reoccuring problem. We selfconciously teach women that they are below men without bluntly stating it and I think that it's a serious problem needing to be addressed.
