Learning the Art of Response
I know you never asked
but maybe this way
Makes it easier,
If I answer all the questions
You never ask
But I wish you would.
Maybe then the reality
Of the unquestioned answers
Won't be too much
To handle.
I know you never asked
But I keep hoping that
Just maybe, one day
You will.
So my answers will have a
greater purpose than my own
Pathetic cause,
But I know you'll never ask because
I already answered.
Too bad you'll never know which
Question it goes with.
This is not a test
So guessing is ok
Still but
Will only make it worse,
Because I know that you never
Asked what I've been
Trying to answer.
I'm still trying to learn the art of response.
