Self-Reliant

Self reliance.
The beast I am most familiar with.
My sole companion in a world of love and loss.
Left behind by the boat of love.
My only companion is self reliance.
The one thing I can count on at any time.
Others may speak of others and help.
For me, I suppose I will remain self reliant.
Spare me the talk of love.
The beast of love has not approached me, so I have familiarized myself with another.
My companion named self reliance.
When all others have abandoned me I will persevere.
Hand in hand with a beast named self reliance.
