Possessiveness of fear

The sight of a blinding light

in the middle of the darkest night

Frightened me out of my wits

I tore up a paper into many bits

Calming down, I drank a glass of water

which was as slippery as an eel

Feeling much better

I reminisced the feel

Blinking brightly once again

my eyes whimpered in pain

Lying on my bed

Almost dead

Had to find out where the light

had started its flight

Not wanting to witness it

Worried I would get a fit

I peeped out one final time in fright

It was indeed a beautiful sight

Little did I know

that the light was from a torch

Held by my foe

who was sitting on his porch

Jumping onto the bed

with a clear head

Dozed off to sleep

too deep

Realised the possessiveness of fear

Too much for me to bear
