My Dreams of College
In today’s world, it’s so hard to attain my dreams.
And I will not accept that
There is more to me than just my grades and education
Its all about how I look on paper, rather than who I am as a person.
Sometimes, admissions counselors think
My SAT and ACT scores reflect me as a whole.
Therefore, it’s not true that
Students like me can gain admission to top tier schools.
But instead of being a pessimist, we should reverse this thinking.

My poem was inspired by the pressures and stress of applying to colleges. As the poem is read from beginning to end, it seems negative. However, when you read it from end to beginning, it reflects a psoitive tone.
