Disintegration
disintegration
it has a discreet scent, similar to the one i inhaled in
when i was set free in the charcoal colored sky
without the advantage of two wings
that would've prevented the hostile ground from claiming me
disintegration is like turpentine that turns this sublime crimson into pale pink
our heartbeat will gradually become slower
fainter
weaker
and eventually our hearts will relinquish
disintegration is what we'll feel when our fingers will accidentally touch
and when our eyes, that had once mirrored untamable flames, will meet
instead of spine numbing chills
disintegration, a rose
that is slowly drying
of all color
all perfume
all sensuality
and grace
we're withering as Earth is pacing around Sun
we're being left with nothing but thorns, to remind us what it's like to feel something, anything.
