A Tune On The Heart Strings
Hear the strings
Hear them sing
A little tune
To numb the sting
A melody to the mind
Like candy sweet, yet so entwined
Within our soul
We shouldn’t hide
A bow
For show
A simple thing
Could never seem slow
Quick strikes
Stay thin, not too light
To and fro
Limbs dance all night
An image within
All it takes to begin
A bit of heart
Goosebumps upon skin
The mind likes to skip,
Get it over quick
Miss the beauty of detail
Another slip
When your soul and heart
Begin an argue about
What’s right and wrong
They may split apart
Sew them back together
Steal threads of a feather
The lightest touches
Help storm them to whether
When the strings gain control
Let the mind go
Unhinge like the music
It’s then that you’ll know.
