How Can We Know?
When we see do we understand,
Why glass can be made with a grain of sand,
Which run through your hand,
Will softly land,
When will we ever understand.
When we see the blue above,
Can we prove that it's a sign of love,
Like a flying dove,
Or a playful shove,
A peaceful thing in the sky above.
When we look around can we comprehend,
Someday that our lives will end,
What message does it really send,
That still to our fears we constantly tend,
To that which we can't and we won't comprehend.
And as for those who say they know,
About the sky and the cawing crow,
Why plants come out of the seeds we sow,
These secrets locked up for never to show,
Which makes me think,
Do we want to know?
