The thing I find most saddening
About a troubled man is that
All too often he leaps out of one queer, weary
Circumstance
Only to fall back in the arms of a cooler,
Crueler, but more manageable version of
The pains that afflicted him
Before.

I wrote this after the realization that someone very close to me, reminded me of someone who has hurt me before.
