Loneliness
August 26, 2014
You're lonely but your not alone
Somehow this place just doesn't feel like home
The people are there
Their voices you can hear
But still you feel all alone
They're talking to you
But their voices comes out in a whisper
Somehow you feel unwanted
Secluded in a corner
They ask you why your down
You say it's just an off day
But that's just a habit
It's what you always say
They want to know
How can you feel lonely I'm a room full of people ?
You tell them just because the people are there doesn't mean they care
Their voices you can hear
But they're still not there
Then depression takes over and you want to be alone
But loneliness is the thing that drove you away from home
Aware of your presence
They don't seem to acknowledge it
Then you feel like your not worth acknowledgement
But how could you feel alone when you have a place to call home
A family to call your own
Because home isn't home if they're not there
Their body is but their mind isn't there souls are barren
Or that's what you think
But what you believe is different
You see no hope
You see no life
You see darkness and an empty room
Because somehow they pushed you to the brink of insanity
That's why you feel alone even though you have a place to call home
That's why loneliness became less of a fear and more of a friend
Because although it watched you suffer
It stayed to the end
Gave you emotion that you let flow through a pen
At the end of it all loneliness became a best friend
