Black doves settle
on
the yellow harvest
growing within
her heart.
Flutter-flutter
can be heard
through a rusty stethoscope
and
cawing
as she tells
the doctor
her symptoms.
He buttons up his
leather jacket
stores up all of his
doubts
in the bottom-right
coughs as he lights
a cigar
looking out into the
foggy street
for her
but smiles as
today's tease
waves a friendly
"Hello".
